8" x 8" oil painting Boyfriend
After viewing many artist's 'painting a day' blogs I was hooked. But in reality that's just not what I want to do - a painting a day. But I like the idea of small paintings - just do it and be done. Especially after painting so large all the time. So I have compromised on the idea. I will do Mini-Monday. So, every Monday I will do a small painting. That way I get to do a small painting but don't commit to my time that way everyday. The idea is to sell them online. But I haven't set that up yet. So it will just sit here for awhile. Besides I kinda hate selling this one.

is there a story behind this, or some kind of underlying meaning? Boyfriends are empty cups? I've finished my boyfriend? I need my boyfriend to get me going every morning? Hmm... what else...
Allen and I laughed reading your post. Dang, you're clever. All that time I spent painting and I didn't even come up with one of those concepts. You will need to watch for Thursday's post because you will be good at it. Anyway, I call Allen 'boyfriend' and I made this cup at 'Color Me Mine' a couple of years ago. I figured he could use it for ice cream and cereal - two of his favorite foods. I just like the shape, the typography, the coolness of it. Now I like the concepts you gave behind it.
